Kumfi Kennels was established after my wife and I wanted more robust kennel for our ageing dog. No matter how many we saw, we just couldn’t find one that would keep her warm in winter and cool in summer.

A number of our friends we spoke to also said they had already replaced their kennels after their pet had chewed and destroyed their existing wooden or plastic kennels. This brought to mind, we needed a tough, safe, but easy to clean material.

The Colorbond Insulated Panel Kennel was born, but sadly before the first “Patio Style Kennel” was finished our beloved pooch passed on. Our excitement and passion for the new kennel designs has continued and we want to share our ideas with everyone. Our kennels will truly outlast your pet.

Structural Insulated Panels

All of our Colorbond Insulated Panels are sourced from Australian manufacturers. Manufactured using BlueScope’s COLORBOND® Permagard® steel, sandwiching a lightweight solid Expanded Polystyrene Fire Retardant core (EPS). The COLORBOND® Permagard® steel contains Microban® which is a unique antibacterial technology that actively helps inhibit the growth of surface bacteria that may cause potential odours, stains, poisoning and allergies.Panel Pencil Drawing-page-0

The EPS-FR Core has been tried and tested for over a half a century, the SL Grade core delivers excellent thermal insulation which is derived by the insulation value of air filled cells making up 98% of the product volume. Giving a safe and natural insulation to the structure.
